A barmaid has taken the first step towards realising her business dream by becoming a mobile travel agent.
Cassy Cullen, who works at the Carriers Arms pub in Morley, had wanted to be her own boss for many years.
And after setting up CC Travel earlier this summer, her entrepreneurial adventure has begun.
“Now is the right time for me,” she said. “There’s a gap in market. I’ve just got to do it.”
The ambitious 29 year-old had been working as a sales advisor at a travel agency alongside her bar work.
And now she is flying solo and has already picked up clients of her own.
She said: “It’s been brilliant. There’s been a lot of interest.
“My first booking on my first day was to St Lucia.”
Mrs Cullen hopes her mobile service will appeal to busy families and those who aren’t able to get out and about easily.
She plans to work in and around the Morley area, travelling to meet clients at their preferred location, whether it’s at home or even in the pub in Glen Road.
Carriers Arms landlady Diane McKenna said: “As a valued member of staff, I know Cassy will put 110 per cent into her new venture to make it work.”
